Day 24 The Books of Enos, Jerom, and Omni

Enos

Likening the Book of Enos unto me. 

I know Jesus Christ is my Savior.  I believe in him, that he came, lived a spotless life, conquered death, and rose from the grave.  I know that having this belief in Christ and always being mindful of my sins, I can be forgiven when I ask God in faith.

I love how Enos shared about how his father taught him truth and how he grew to have a relationship with God because of the example of his father.

In my life, I want to be an example, too.  I want to live my life in such a way that others will come unto Christ.  I always want to have unshaken faith for the rest of my life and help others to have it, also.  I know what it feels like to receive forgiveness after repentance, to have a pure heart, love of God, and all mankind.  I want that for everyone!

There will be times when I will be tried and there will be times of distress.  I am thankful for my Savior who will comfort me.  I learn so much from the scriptures.

Jarom 

Likening the Book of Jarom unto me

"And in as much as I keep the commandments of God, I shall prosper in the land.  I don't take this to mean financially, although maybe that will be the case someday. Prospering to me is succeeding in what the Lord places in my path and being successful in my accomplishments, being blessed by the Lord with health and strength, and being abundant in my testimony!

Omni

Likening the Book of Omni unto me

The plates were given to King Benjamin, the son of Mosiah, when the descendents of Lehi and Nephi had all died.

The verse I love in Omni is "And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole soul as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

I know that learning the stories in The Book of Mormon makes the story of Jesus Christ's birth, death, and resurrection richer.  He loves all of his children and visited them in America, too.  The Prophets testified of it from Isaiah to Nephi to Mosiah,  and King Benjamin!  I am thankful for this knowledge and love The Book of Mormon.
