These chapters for me were summed up that their is no peace for the wicked. Just as God chose Israel (Isaiah 48), so I need to be constantly striving to live for Christ, be obedient to His words and His desires for me, listen to His good council, and remember that there is no peace for the wicked, but there is "Peace in Christ".
Christ is our Redeemer and Savior. He rescues us from iniquity and heals our broken hearts, and binds up our wounds when we trust in Him.
The promise that scattered Israel will be gathered and saved (Isaiah 49) is a Promise for us. I need to be mindful to stay focused on Christ's promises for me.
